Location: Must be based in New Jersey – local candidates only Work Authorization: No sponsorships now or in the future. Only U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders will be considered. Employment Type: Contract – 6 months Engagement Type: Not open for 1099, C2C, or C2H arrangements Mandatory Qualifications (No Exceptions): Please do not submit any profiles that do not meet the following criteria: • Proven Microsoft Fabric experience, or • DP-600 Microsoft Fabric Certification, or • DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Certification Experience Requirements: • Minimum 8+ years total experience in Data Engineering or Data Management roles • 7+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure • 5+ years experience building data and analytics platforms focused on Azure Data & Analytics solutions • 3+ years programming experience with Python and/or PySpark • Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum Master/Product Owner collaboration Core Responsibilities: Data Management and Storage: • Design and implement data storage systems using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics • Ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of solutions • Support cloud-based data migration projects Data Integration and ETL: • Develop and implement data integration processes using Azure Data Factory • Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses or data lakes Big Data and Analytics: • Utilize Apache Spark and related technologies to create data processing workflows and pipelines • Support data analytics and machine learning applications • Build and maintain new and existing applications in preparation for large-scale architectural migrations • Monitor and optimize data pipelines and database performance Documentation and Collaboration: • Document data engineering processes, data models, and pipelines for transparency and maintainability • Work collaboratively using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and DevOps under SAFe methodology Required Technical Proficiency: • Azure Services: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake • ETL Tools: SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Power BI Dataflows • Programming: Python, PySpark • Databases: MSSQL, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse • Data Concepts: Data modeling, data warehousing, performance optimization • Development Practices: Agile/Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Submission Note: Only candidates meeting all mandatory criteria and residing in New Jersey will be considered for this position.
