You will support DOE’s Corporate Business Systems, used by over 14,000 users to fulfill the agency’s mission to promote energy independence, progress scientific research, and protect the nation through nuclear security • *Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:** + Design and develop robust software architecture and scalable solutions. + Build complex applications from the ground up using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and SQL Server. + Enhance and maintain existing software applications; develop custom solutions to improve efficiency, performance, and system integration. + Utilize strong knowledge of relational database design; collaborate with DBAs to ensure reliable and efficient data service availability. + Develop interactive reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI. + Work independently and collaboratively with other developers as needed. + Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts and stakeholders. + Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). + Assist the customer support team in troubleshooting and resolving software issues and defects. + Investigate and implement solutions for identified problems and performance bottlenecks. • *Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5 years of increasingly responsible and relevant experience in .Net development and SQL Server. Without a degree 8-10 years of relevant experience is required (AA/AS- 8+ years, HS- 9+ years). + Coding experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, SQL Server, SSRS, GITHub + Experience working with JavaScript, jQuery & HTML/CSS, Power BI + Expertise with the development and support of web-based applications, service-oriented architecture, and database systems + Experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC) including design, testing, deployment, documentation, and support activities. + A good understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design + Understanding of Agile methodologies + Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting. + US Citizenship • *Desired Qualifications:** + Experience with ServiceNow for incident management + ITIL v3 or v4 certification + Previous Department of Energy experience. + Experience using UI frameworks + Experience with Microsoft DevOps + MCSD certification The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
