Fully Onsite position at the Boston, MA location Role: LEAD Epic Developer Duration: 18+ months Job Description: The Senior Epic Developer is responsible for developing high level solutions within Epic and other downstream systems. The senior developer will have experience with multiple Epic reporting tools such as Cogito SQL, Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards and SlicerDicer. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement large-scale data products and enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Epic reporting capabilities, SQL server expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor other developers. The senior developer should have extensive workflow knowledge spanning multiple domains, and have a good understanding of Epic build. Additional responsibilities would include understanding data analysis and integration requirements and guiding solution design and architecture of data platform capabilities (EDW, Data Marts, Data Sharing Repositories, Materialized Views etc.) to meet these needs. Duties & Responsibilities: General tasks and responsibilities will include: Solution Development • Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale dashboards, reports and tables in Epic. Ensure solutions are user-friendly and provide meaningful insights. • Optimize existing reports and metrics that are not completing in a reasonable timeframe. • Complete Nova Notes and tickets in a timely manner. • Collate, Cleanse and Organize data from several sources and work with cross‐functional project teams that include Business Analysts, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Quality Assurance, and Data visualization Collaboration • Collaborate with business units and departments to understand their data and reporting needs. Translate these needs into solutions that drive value for the organization. • Participate and present in team meetings. • Work closely with a service delivery team consisting of business analysts, data engineers and analysts. Technology Evaluation • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the Epic analytics space Evaluate and recommend new tools and technology that can enhance analytics capabilities. Technical Mentorship • Mentor developers on their SQL skill-set. • Mentor developers on Epic related tools. Minimum Qualifications 1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and 2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications. Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years). Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience. 3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or 4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements: • Knowledge with Epic EMR, SQL, Business Objects • Experience working in one or more of the following settings; hospitals, clinics, health insurance providers other health related industry. • Experience with Python, R, SAS Viya, or other programming tools • Effective communication skills with executive level stake holders Years of Experience: • 5+ years’ experience in data and analytics related work Special Equipment/Machines/Applications Operated: • PC and/or OS operating systems • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Tableau
