📊Business Data Analyst I 📍 Location: Hicksville, NY 🔒 This role is open only to U.S. citizens or individuals with valid U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card) status. Visa sponsorship is not available. 📌Position Overview Join the growing team at Nassau Candy as a Business Data Analyst I, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing data-driven decision-making. This position is responsible for analyzing data from multiple systems (ERP, SQL databases, and more), automating reports, and building visualizations that provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the business. We’re looking for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys translating complex data into clear stories, and is comfortable working with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. ️Key Responsibilities • Design and build dashboards, KPIs, and self-service reporting tools for leadership and stakeholders • Extract, clean, and model data for analysis using Power BI, SQL, and Excel • Develop scalable, repeatable reporting processes and ad-hoc solutions • Use Power BI for interactive data visualization, dashboard creation, and content sharing • Manage governance, deployment, and training for Power BI reports and datasets • Write efficient SQL and Python scripts to query, join, and model data from multiple sources • Use Power Query for advanced Excel-based analysis • Translate business questions into reporting requirements and technical solutions • Partner with users to validate reporting deliverables and ensure quality • Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders through written, visual, and live presentations • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of all data outputs 🎯Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including data modeling and DAX • Proficiency in at least three of the following: SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Python, R, Advanced Excel • Skilled in SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL), including use of joins, CTEs, aggregates, and window functions • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC development methodologies ➕ Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) • Familiarity with business systems such as inventory, purchasing, and shipping • Experience working with legacy or non-tabular data sources • Understanding of data architecture and modeling concepts • Skilled in advanced charting, pivots, and complex dashboards • Experience with Git version control, Jira, Confluence, and collaborative coding • Exposure to Machine Learning for forecasting and automation • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, Visio, Teams, and Microsoft Project • Experience with NoSQL databases 🚀 Why Join Nassau Candy?
