Solution IT Inc. is looking for Database Migration Specialist (MS Access / SQL) for one of its clients in Austin, TX (Hybrid/ T&F onsite) Job Title: Database Migration Specialist (MS Access / SQL) Required Skills • 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining advanced MS Access databases, including normalized table structures, queries, forms, reports, and data extraction/manipulation. • 10+ years of expert-level relational database design experience: normalization, ER modeling, schema refactoring, and translating Access data models into scalable SQL schemas. • 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Access, including VBA for custom functionalities and workflow automation. • 10+ years of experience migrating legacy databases into at least one major cloud SQL service (Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server/MySQL). • 8+ years of ETL tool experience with SSIS, Azure Data Factory, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), or equivalent. • 8+ years of experience creating migration runbooks, data dictionaries, technical documentation, and delivering training or knowledge-transfer sessions. • 8+ years of experience with RDBMS admin/console tools such as TOAD, SSMS, and/or SQL Developer. • 8+ years of experience configuring data integration and batch processing solutions in Azure Data Factory and/or SSIS; monitoring ingestion processes and performance, reviewing query plans, and identifying problem areas. • 8+ years of experience migrating data from legacy databases to new target databases. Preferred Skills & Experience: • 6+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD methodology, GitHub, JIRA. • 6+ years of experience with data visualization/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau. • 6+ years of experience with Agile Development Methodologies. • Prior experience in healthcare or public health projects. • Experience implementing Agile methodologies and best practices for State of Texas agencies.
