We're looking for a Product Manager who will lead our efforts to build outstanding developer tools and end-to-end experiences for developers using Node.js, Python, .NET, Java and GoLang to build applications in the cloud. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the product development for tools in Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and Command Line from business opportunity to product reality. You should have an autonomous and collaborative work style, demonstrate a human-centered and data-driven approach to understanding customer requirements and competitive context, and strive for tangible business impact. You will need a technical background in software delivery as you will be empowered to make decisions regarding trade-offs and challenges with cloud native development. You will work with product management and engineering teams across Azure, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio and GitHub to improve the experience for developers building cloud native applications in Azure. You will learn and experiment by developing and validating problem hypotheses as well as testing solution concepts and shipping MVPs. You will also communicate ideas to executives, deliver stories, and consult with partners to find the best ways to attract cloud native developers. We aim to exemplify customer obsession. For us, that means that each of us talk with direct users or aspirational users of our product multiple times per week. Customer context is the currency within our organization. Legitimate customer research must always back up our vision. Continually Improving the developer experience for common application scenarios Identifying opportunities to enhance or build developer tools to improve the overall developer experience for Azure. Collaborate with customers, engineers, and teams across Microsoft to identify strategic End to End Azure developer experience scenarios and work with product and engineering teams to build tools and services to help improve Azure developer experience. Grow the adoption and usage and engagement of our Azure Developer tools and services. Work with multiple teams across organizations to create specs, docs, and vision decks to prioritize and drive experience improvements. • *This position is 100% REMOTE** • *Qualifications** Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant software design/development, web development and/or cloud native experience. 3+ years of technical product management experience with cross-organizational and industry impact. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience with non-Microsoft platforms and technologies. Proven design and coding skills. Outstanding technical problem solving and debugging ability. Experience with authoring and producing technical and strategy whitepapers and presentations.
