Power BI Developer job at LingaTech. Harrisburg, PA. MUST be a PA Resident Location: Harrisburg, PA Position Type: Hybrid Hybrid Schedule: Onsite as needed, at least one day a month Contract Length: 10+ months The Power BI Developer will support the modernization of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) by designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data models that enable data-driven decision-making. This role will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, accurate, and visually compelling analytics solutions in Microsoft Power BI and related technologies. Required Skills: • 5 years of advanced expertise with Microsoft Power BI and DAX for creating, modifying, and maintaining data displays. • 5 years of advanced expertise with analytical software, including SAS and Microsoft Excel , for reporting and analysis. • 5 years of strong proficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, scripts, complex queries , and experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) . • 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps and Agile / Scrum development methods. • 5 years of experience with data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies . • 5 years of advanced experience with data profiling, formatting, capture, search, retrieval, extraction, classification, quality analysis, and information filtering . • 5 years of knowledge in relational databases, entity relationships, data warehousing, facts, dimensions, and star schema concepts . • 4-year college degree in Computer Science or related field ( advanced study preferred ). Duties: • Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to meet enterprise reporting needs. • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and DBAs to translate business requirements into optimized data and reporting solutions. • Gather, document, and refine business, functional, and technical requirements for analytics and reporting. • Develop report specifications, including purpose, attributes, owners, runtime parameters, and justification. • Create graphic representations of complex business processes and assist in workflow modeling using BPMN or similar standards. • Conduct data profiling, cleansing, formatting, classification, and validation to ensure high-quality analytics outputs. • Build, maintain, and optimize data flows and data structures to support large-scale analytics and reporting. • Participate in testing, quality assurance, and review sessions to ensure deliverables meet project standards. • Manage assignments, track progress against timelines, and provide regular project status updates. • Present dashboards, reports, and solutions to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and usability for decision-makers. • Develop and maintain process documentation, workflows, and technical artifacts for ongoing support and knowledge transfer. • Ensure compliance with applicable data standards, frameworks, and security guidelines. • Provide user training, knowledge transfer, and support for Power BI solutions and reporting processes. • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development cycles and use Azure DevOps for work tracking and CI/CD integration.
