Power BI Consultant and Training Specialist San Diego, CA (Hybrid – Kearny Mesa) $50–$60/hour (W2 only) Temporary / Project-Based Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Power BI Consultant and Training Specialist to support one of our nonprofit clients serving individuals with developmental disabilities across San Diego County. This is a project-based temporary role with a hybrid work schedule (2 - 3 days onsite to start, with potential to go fully remote once trained). This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing data collection, performance evaluation, and reporting capabilities to support the organization’s pursuit of Baldrige Certification and its broader quality improvement initiatives. Position Overview The Power BI Consultant and Training Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to design, implement, and train staff on effective use of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting performance metrics, compliance tracking, and decision-making across departments. Key Responsibilities • Conduct stakeholder interviews with department directors to identify data gaps and performance reporting needs. • Develop and deliver Power BI training sessions tailored to various internal teams, including non-technical users. • Design and implement dashboards and reports aligned with organizational KPIs and quality initiatives. • Organize and visualize datasets to support regulatory and compliance reporting. • Advise on best practices in data governance and reporting using Power BI. • Collaborate with leadership to ensure tools and reporting systems meet the requirements for Baldrige Certification. Qualifications Required: • Proven experience in Power BI development, including data modeling, visualization, and DAX. • Strong understanding of performance metrics, evaluation tools, and reporting processes. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions. • Experience delivering hands-on training sessions for end users of varying technical abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate preferred. Preferred: • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or social service environments. • Familiarity with quality improvement frameworks such as Baldrige, Six Sigma, or LEAN methodologies. • Knowledge of data collection tools and integration techniques.
