We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who thrives on leading technical projects, managing complex client environments, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. This is a hands-on engineering role — a mix of systems design, network management, and client engagement — ideal for problem-solvers who prefer building over bureaucracy. What You’ll Build & Lead • Design, deploy, and maintain client IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud services) • Administer Windows / Linux servers, Active Directory, M365, VMware / Hyper-V • Configure and manage Intune for device compliance and security • Administer and optimize Azure (VMs, storage, networking, identity) • Implement cybersecurity controls and monitor performance • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide an escalation point for junior engineers and helpdesk • Manage ticket queues and document resolutions clearly • Mentor and oversee junior engineers (1–5 team members) • Collaborate with clients and management on technical strategy • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support What You Bring to the Table • 7 + years of systems engineering experience (MSP background preferred) • Expertise in Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Virtualization, and PowerShell • Familiar with multi-cloud (Azure / AWS) and security frameworks • Experience mentoring or supervising technical teams • Valid driver’s license for client visits Preferred Certifications • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator (AZ-800 / 801) • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) • Identity & Access Administrator (SC-300) • M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100 / MS-101) Technical Core Skills Azure & Cloud Infrastructure • Windows Server & Active Directory • Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V) • M365 & Intune • PowerShell & Automation • Networking • Security • Backup & Disaster Recovery • Leadership & Client Communication Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $115 K – $125 K (DOE) Bonus: 2–4 % year-end performance bonus (paid in December) Benefits Include • 401(k) with company match • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Disability & life insurance • Paid vacation, paid holidays, and PTO • …and benefits that don’t suck ;-) Why VDI?
