Seeking a Databricks Architect onsite 5 days a week in Galleria, TX - A contract-to-hire opportunity with a great company! Must come from Trading System experience and Python experience. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Databricks Architect with expertise in trading systems and Python programming. In this role, you will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable data processing systems on Databricks for high-frequency trading platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, trading data workflows, and strong proficiency in Python. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines on Databricks for processing large volumes of financial trading data. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Databricks with existing trading systems and ensure data integrity and performance. • Utilize Python to develop algorithms, automation scripts, and ETL processes for data transformation and analysis. • Build and maintain architecture for real-time and batch processing of trading data streams. • Provide technical leadership in Databricks and Python usage across the team. • Optimize data workflows and trading system performance to ensure low-latency operations. • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues related to trading platforms. Required Skills: • Strong experience with Databricks and Apache Spark. • Proven experience in Python programming for data analysis, algorithm development, and automation. • Knowledge of financial trading systems, including high-frequency trading platforms and market data feeds. • Expertise in cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases, and real-time data processing frameworks. • Ability to design robust, scalable, and secure data architecture for trading environments. US Citizen or Green Card Holder required Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in deploying trading applications in a cloud environment. • Familiarity with machine learning models for predictive trading. • Knowledge of financial data standards and regulatory requirements in trading systems.
