This role combines deep .NET expertise with domain knowledge in finance applications, making it ideal for professionals experienced in complex transactional systems. Key Responsibilities • Architect and guide development of finance and payroll systems using .NET Core/.NET 6+ • Design scalable, secure solutions tailored for financial operations, including payroll processing, accounting, and compliance workflows • Lead integration efforts with third-party financial tools, banking APIs, and ERP systems • Define data flow strategies for handling sensitive payroll and financial data securely • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to align technical architecture with regulatory and operational needs • Drive modernization and cloud migration of legacy financial systems to Microsoft Azure • Implement DevOps and CI/CD best practices to support reliable deployments in finance environments • Conduct code and design reviews, enforce architectural standards across modules • Mentor engineering teams and ensure alignment across SDLC in finance domain Core Technical Expertise • .NET Ecosystem: .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, C#, LINQ, Entity Framework/Core • Finance Domain: Payroll workflows, financial data modeling, compliance/security handling, accounting integrations • Architecture: Microservices, DDD, Clean Architecture • Cloud: Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Azure SQL) • DevOps: GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (AKS) • Databases: SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Redis • Other Skills: REST/gRPC APIs, OAuth2, JWT, caching strategies • Frontend (Basic): Angular or React Qualifications • Bachelor's/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 12+ years in software development, with 4+ years in architectural roles • Proven success in designing solutions for financial and/or payroll systems • Deep understanding of security, data privacy, and compliance in financial applications • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration Nice to Have • Experience with financial performance tuning and reporting systems • Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates) • Exposure to cloud finance tools or platforms (e.g., QuickBooks API, Workday, SAP) • Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus Ready to architect the future of finance systems?
