The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a SharePoint-based intranet portal that serves as the central hub for employee information. This role requires a strong understanding of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and front-end development best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience building intuitive, responsive, and secure intranet solutions that enhance employee productivity and engagement. Responsibilities • Design and develop a modern SharePoint Online intranet landing page tailored for employee use. • Create custom web parts, workflows, and integrations with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., Teams, OneDrive, Outlook). • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Communications teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional solutions. • Implement branding and UI/UX best practices to ensure consistent and engaging user experience. • Develop and maintain site architecture, permissions, and content management strategies. • Integrate third-party tools and APIs as needed to enhance functionality. • Provide documentation, training, and support to content owners and end-users. • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and accessibility standards. • Monitor site performance and usage analytics to drive continuous improvement. Key Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. • 3+ years of experience in SharePoint Online development and administration. • Strong proficiency in: o SharePoint Framework (SPFx) o Power Automate / Power Apps o HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript o Microsoft Graph API • Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.). • Knowledge of SharePoint site architecture, permissions, and governance. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. Preferred Skills: • Experience building employee portals or intranet solutions. • Knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft Entra ID integration. • Experience with content personalization and audience targeting in SharePoint. • Familiarity with enterprise search configuration and metadata management. • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-600, PL-400) are a plus.
