About the position Responsibilities • Engage in and improve the lifecycle of database services including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Cache for Redis. • Provide production support and problem management. • Implement BCDR and value-add services such as architectural and strategic consultancy. • Support automation and operations using Site Reliability Engineering practices. • Ensure compliance with digital principles and implement functional and non-functional requirements. • Work in an Agile model to deliver reliable and efficient platforms. Requirements • Bachelor or master's degree or equivalent focusing on Engineering, SRE for Databases MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis. • 5 to 7 years of experience in large enterprise, preferably in a global financial/technology organization. • Expertise in MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Cache for Redis. • Performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities. • Cloud experience specifically on Azure with hands-on infrastructure maintenance using Terraform or Ansible. • Strong knowledge of Python and scripting for automation. • Proficiency in underlying infrastructure and operating systems like Windows, Unix RHEL 7/8. • SRE mindset to approach infrastructure issues with a software engineering perspective. • Experience in managing incident management calls, problem management, and blameless RCA. • Strong communication skills for presentations and technical writing. • Good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking. • Experience in database/infrastructure monitoring, observability, resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps.
