Summary The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for configuring and managing IT infrastructure systems, supporting internal collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Entra Identity, handling user provisioning, managing Microsoft applications, and overseeing integrations with third-party applications. They also assist with telecommunication services as required by the IT department and organization. The IT Systems Administrator ensures the smooth operation of these systems and supports the overall goals of the IT department. Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager Duties/Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and software applications, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and running optimally. • Monitor system performance and health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for users and infrastructure. • Configure, troubleshoot, support, and back up cloud and on-premises servers and resources used by the organization, including internal and public websites. • Research, identify, and inform staff, peers, and department leaders of cost-effective, relevant technology trends or solutions that provide competitive advantages or increase productivity. • Act as a liaison and escalation resource for collaboration systems and services. • Migrate, secure, maintain, and automate accounts by manipulating data from a variety of systems. • Maintain and support employee orchestration, single sign-on, and account provisioning. • Implement, support and maintain Workday integrations with 3 party vendors. • Implement, support, and maintain web-based services and security certificates. • Attain goals as outlined in annual performance evaluations. • Perform regularly scheduled on-call duties as required, including disaster recovery. • Perform all other duties and projects assigned. • The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal responsibilities of the job identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent in the position. Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: • Excellent computer, typing, and technical skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving performance while working under pressure. • Working knowledge of Nutanix Platform, Cisco Networking, Microsoft Azure, and Telecommunications Systems. • Working knowledge of Workday Integration types, e.g, core connectors, orchestration, EIB, and Workday Studio. • Working knowledge of Workday Security Concepts. • Familiar with security best practices and implementation. • Comfortable with rapid growth and change. • Willingness to mentor peers and foster learning. • Willingness to work in an open-office environment with an upbeat culture. • Must be able to relate cooperatively and constructively with clients and co-workers and effectively monitor and develop the abilities of subordinates. Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications: • Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related field; or six years of equivalent work experience. • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages inc. bash, PowerShell, Python. • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL, Postgres, MySQL.
