Network Engineers are assigned to multi-year transportation projects, including both new applications and our ongoing maintenance program on-site at our customers’ location. This position requires hands-on work with a large city-wide network of cameras, video analytics, video storage/management system, video walls, network management/switches, virtual servers, ground-based radar and other exciting technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, solid technical abilities and relationship building skills both externally and internally. YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN IENET NETWORK ENGINEER: • Check and monitor the health of all the network systems daily. • Support, administer, diagnose, design, program, and monitor the following: L3 and L2 networking, Video Management System, VMWare support, Video Management, Video Walls support, Field Cameras, Ground Based Radar systems, Wireless and Microwave systems • Complete system review, redline and documentation. • Execute new product replacement plans. • Interface and directly report to customer. • Report to onsite facility for work daily. QUALIFICATIONS: • BSEE, CSE or equivalent • Minimum 3 years’ experience with the following: Layer 1 experience: fiber, copper, electrical circuits, Poe, etc., Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking • Desired certifications: CCNA or equivalent, Comp TIA A+, ITF+, Network +, Security +, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Windows OS, VMware certified professional • Experience working with contractors desired • Familiarity with IP addressing and Ethernet • Familiarity with managing computers, servers, virtual machines, etc. • System hardening, data security, system administrator experience • Microsoft Office Suite: Word and Excel experience • Willing to travel • Interest in intelligent traffic systems and smart cities work
