This role involves maintaining, implementing, supporting, designing, and project management of all company server and software systems.Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Utilizes the PTCOA IT Service Desk Request Management System to receive, prioritize, and manage work via tickets and to track time and progress to resolution. Monitors status of assigned active requests, revises priority status as needed; follows up on assigned service requests to ensure resolution; and coordinates and confers with assigned staff on progress and changes in schedule/status.2. Maintain hardware/software inventory.3. Create and maintain documentation on all equipment configurations/topology.4. Advise on the needs of the company's server infrastructure.5. Manage the server hardware lifecycle, including specifying equipment for refresh.6. Provide a secure hosting environment for enterprise applications, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual enterprise servers and storage.7. Develop, test, and maintain backup and recovery strategies.8. Collaborate with the Director of Information Technology to maintain the company's email and communications systems.9. Ensure data and physical security of user accounts and server infrastructure by implementing industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulations.10. Maintain the company's domains.11. Manage end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with best practices.12. Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on server and software systems.13. Schedule and perform software and hardware upgrades, patches, and maintenance.14. Identify areas for efficiency improvements and consolidation.15. Stay updated on new and emerging technologies.16. Work with the Director of Information Technology to adjust and maintain the company's technology deployment strategies.17. Serve as a backup to the Director of Information Technology as needed.18. Supervise and direct vendors and Technology staff engaged in special project work and data communication equipment installation and monitoring.19. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS The position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer information science, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience or 4 years of equivalent certification/work experience/associate degree. Certifications are plus. Must have a working knowledge of HIPAA’s Privacy Rule, audit requirements, and minimum requirements. Certifications from the Foundation of Information Privacy and Data Protection, or a related entity are preferred. Experience in VMware, Azure, HyperV, Windows Server, Manage Engine, and Linux, is preferred. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to fluctuate but at a minimum, this position will be required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Thursday) and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Friday), and occasionally after regular business hours. Travel may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), standing, sitting, walking, and reaching. The incumbent operates all standard office equipment, motor vehicles, and mobile phones. The position requires the lifting and installation of equipment of 50-100 lbs. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those the incumbent can expect to encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
