Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Middleware and Cloud Integration Engineer with deep expertise in WebSphere Application Server, RabbitMQ, MuleSoft, and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in middleware infrastructure, system integration, and cloud administration. You will lead the administration of WebSphere environments, manage integration tools, and provide senior-level technical consulting. The role demands strong hands-on experience in enterprise application deployment, automation, security, and system optimization across both on-premises and cloud platforms. Responsibilities: • Administer and maintain WebSphere Application Server environments on Unix/Linux • Perform upgrades, patches, and security fixes for middleware and application servers • Configure and maintain RabbitMQ and MuleSoft platforms • Manage OpenShift clusters and automation pipelines using Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket • Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace) • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams for integration and deployment • Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness • Deploy, monitor, and secure applications in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud • Lead technical consultation sessions and advise on API security, system integration, and emerging technologies Required Skills and Qualifications: • 12+ years overall IT experience with complex enterprise systems • 8+ years of WebSphere administration (install, configure, tune, secure) • 3+ years of RabbitMQ administration and 2+ years MuleSoft administration • 2+ years of cloud system administration (Azure, AWS, GCP) • 2+ years managing Red Hat OpenShift • Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, network architecture, and firewall/IP routing • Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), load balancing, and application security • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, Maven, Bitbucket • Familiar with containers and Kubernetes for microservices deployment • Strong communication and technical consulting skills Preferred: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Experience supporting government agencies • Background in technical audits and risk assessments • Prior role providing senior technical leadership or consulting in enterprise IT Job Type: Full-Time (Remote) Work Hours: 8–10 hours/day, Monday–Friday (Core EST hours: 7 AM–6 PM) On-call: Participation in rotating on-call support required Compensation: Competitive, based on experience Job Type: Contract Pay: $68.64 - $72.11 per hour Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: Remote
