Primary Responsibilities: Will be responsible for in leading and overseeing end-to-end delivery of Data Management delivery practice with a revenue span of $100M+ and team span of 1000+, encompassing Data Engineering, Data Migration, Data Modernization, and Data Governance projects. Proven track record of ensuring delivery excellence through well-defined methodologies, standardized practices, and quality assurance frameworks. This also includes proactively embedding client’s data IP and solutions with existing and new client opportunities. Data Management Delivery Leadership • Lead end-to-end delivery of data management projects, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality objectives are consistently met. • Oversee multiple concurrent programs and ensure alignment with business and IT strategies. • Ensure delivery frameworks and methodologies are properly applied across all data initiatives • Oversee the design and implementation of modern data platforms for clients Data Management Project Governance & Methodology • Define, implement, and enforce best practices and standards for data project execution. • Monitor project health through KPIs, metrics, and governance reviews. • Ensure risk management, escalation protocols, and change control processes are in place and effective. • Data Quality Assurance: Implement checks to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. • Compliance: Ensure systems and processes comply with data privacy and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Data Management Delivery Team build out & Resource Management • Provide leadership and direction to project leads, data engineering leads, and delivery leads. • Collaborate with talent acquisition and HR to recruit, onboard, and develop skilled professionals. • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Data Solutions/IP Design, Development and Delivery • Lead the development and standardization of reusable frameworks, accelerators, and solution components to enhance delivery efficiency and IP leverage. • Drive proactive embedment of client’s Data IP with existing clients by identifying new opportunities for data modernization and governance, crafting tailored proposals that showcase organizational IP and thought leadership. Client and Stakeholder Management for Data Management Delivery Mandate • Serve as the key point of contact for client’s senior business and technical stakeholders. • Communicate overall delivery status, risks, and value delivered in a clear and actionable manner to client leadership • Align project delivery with evolving business priorities and strategic goals. • Lead the development and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) for data management projects. Data strategy • Lead data strategy creation and implementation that helps the organization to effectively collect, manage, use, and protect its data to support business goals and drive value. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain a clear data roadmap that outlines future data capabilities, technology adoption, and process improvements. Technical Leadership • Lead architecture & design: Define scalable and secure data architecture for data pipelines, warehousing, and processing systems. • Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Code Review & Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, review pull requests, and mentor team members on clean and efficient code. • Demonstrate thought leadership in the field of data and AI • Be active in the community through social media, events and conferences, etc. Skills and Experiences -Ability to oversee the technical aspects of data value chain o Understand data ecosystem – data strategy aligning with business goals, data governance, quality, medallion architecture, and so on o Oversee the design and implementation of modern data platforms o Manage proposals and projects involving cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) o Ensure the efficient and secure integration of cloud services with existing data systems o Optimize cloud-based data storage and processing solutions for performance and cost-effectiveness -Experience with the key elements of data lifecycle while designing and recommending data solutions to clients: o Scalable Data Architectures o Integration of various data sources, ensuring that data is collected, processed, and made available in a structured manner. o Data Security and Compliance: Ensure that data systems comply with relevant security and privacy regulations, including GDPR, HIPAA, etc., and are secure from threats. o Data Pipeline Management: Design, development, and optimization of data pipelines to ensure high-quality, efficient data flow & storage. o Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows, addressing bottlenecks and improving speed. o Ensure Data Quality: Robust data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the data o Data Governance: Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure proper data stewardship, security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. • Proven experience in winning and delivering accounts within the data management domain or similar industries. • 20+ years of experience in data-related project delivery, including 10+ years in a leadership or delivery management role. • Strong knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and data governance frameworks. • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid project management methodologies. • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization structure.
