Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking a CI/CD Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role is 5 days onsite in the Deep Ellum/Downtown Dallas area. USC/GCH only, W2. About the Role We are seeking a CI/CD Engineer with a strong QA/automation background to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tooling. This role is central to growth in a fast-paced technology environment, where adaptability, initiative, and a self-starter mindset are essential. This is not a role where you simply follow established processes—you’ll be building them, improving them, and driving adoption across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines for development and production. • Automate builds, testing, and deployments to accelerate speed and improve quality. • Partner with QA and development teams to embed testing frameworks into CI/CD workflows. • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines to ensure efficiency and scalability. • Own and evolve deployment processes, Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and release management. • Research and implement modern tools and approaches that drive innovation and efficiency. • Document CI/CD systems and train team members to ensure adoption and consistency. • Coordinate with U.S. and offshore development teams to align on best practices and delivery cadence. • Act as a self-starter and initiator, identifying gaps and leading improvements without waiting for instruction. Qualifications • 3+ years of experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar). • Strong background in QA, test automation, or DevOps practices. • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes preferred). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a startup environment—comfortable with ambiguity, able to wear multiple hats, and eager to build rather than inherit. • Experience working effectively with remote and offshore teams. Nice to Have • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.). • Security awareness in build/deployment pipelines. • Familiarity with microservices-based architecture. • Previous startup experience or history of thriving in fast-paced, high-growth companies.
