Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. How Will You Contribute? Ensuring Financial Accuracy: By accurately preparing and analyzing financial statements—including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements—you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting, supporting informed decision-making at all levels. Optimizing Accounting Processes: Your expertise will drive the enhancement of accounting procedures and systems, leading to increased efficiency and reduced operational risks. This includes leveraging ERP systems to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy. Maintaining Compliance: Through diligent adherence to GAAP accounting standards, as well as applicable regulatory requirements (SLA), you will safeguard the organization's compliance and uphold its reputation. Your role will also involve assisting in audit preparations and responding to auditor inquiries as needed. Mentoring and Leadership: By providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff, you will foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance team, enhancing overall team performance. Strategic Financial Planning: Your insights will contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, aiding in the strategic planning and financial health of the company. This includes analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness in maintaining financial records. Accounting Operations: Key contributor to monthly, quarterly and year end close deliverables. Manage the general ledger and perform account reconciliations. Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger, performing detailed variance analysis as required. Process and validate financial transactions, including bank transaction, A/R adjustments and intercompany transfers. Develop accurate journal entries for various activities. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to GAAP accounting standards, as well as applicable regulatory requirements. Assist in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries as needed. Process Improvement: Leverage expertise in ERP systems to enhance accounting workflows. Collaborate on developing and improving accounting processes and procedures. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (e.g., SUMIF, VLOOKUP, PivotTables), Word, and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of the organization and external vendors. Demonstrated ability to maintain a fixed assets register, align capital expenditures to annual budget and perform depreciation variance analysis. Exemplary work ethic, a passion for learning, and a commitment to excellence. Desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. CPA certification or MBA is a plus. Experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage 100, or NetSuite. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Proven capability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with competing deadlines. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ad hoc analyses and other special projects, as required Salary: $105,000.00-$115,000.00 It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
