Role: Jr. Linux and window admin Duration: 6+ Months Location: Dallas, TX – Onsite role Rate: $39/hr on W2 Without Benefits Job Description: Must have On-prem to cloud migration and windows migration. Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Solaris servers. • Manage and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022). • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across platforms. • Apply patches, updates, and security configurations regularly. • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. • Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning. • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts, PowerShell, or other tools. • Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams. • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years of experience in system administration (Linux/Solaris and Windows). • Strong knowledge of system internals, file systems, and networking. • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus. • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Good problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Certifications like RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or CompTIA Server+. • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.). #IND2 Job Type: Contract Pay: $39.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Experience: • windows: 2 years (Required) • Linux: 4 years (Required) • migration: 2 years (Required) Work Location: On the road
