SQL Server / Oracle Data Engineer – Senior Developer Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Industry: Oil & Gas We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Developer with strong SQL Server and Oracle expertise to join a leading Oil & Gas organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial or accounting data systems, advanced database development, and Python for ETL/data integration. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server and Oracle database solutions • Build and maintain Python scripts for ETL and data interfaces • Work with financial and accounting data systems (IDEAS experience is a major plus) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data solutions supporting accounting and financial domains • Support application development with REST APIs and microservices (nice to have) Requirements: • Oil & Gas industry experience required • Financial or accounting domain experience preferred • Advanced SQL Server (T-SQL) and Oracle (PL/SQL) coding skills • Python development with database libraries and ETL integration experience • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Houston Not a fit if: Your experience is primarily focused on ETL tools (Informatica, Snowflake, Databricks) or big data/cloud platforms (Hadoop, AWS, Azure, GCP).
