Technology Security Associates is seeking an experienced System/Network Administrator to support a modern, security-conscious IT environment. This role involves hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 services, physical and virtual servers, workstations, network systems, and cybersecurity tools. You will be expected to oversee all IT systems with an emphasis on availability, performance, compliance (e.g., NIST 800-171), and cybersecurity best practices. This position demands strong communication skills and occasional after-hours availability for critical support. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Duties/Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 and Security Platform Management • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. • Manage user identities, groups, and device enrollment through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune. • Maintain endpoint configuration, compliance policies, and conditional access using Microsoft Intune. • Monitor and respond to threats using Microsoft Defender XDR and coordinate integration with Microsoft SIEM/SOAR solutions (e.g., Sentinel). • Manage Microsoft Purview for compliance, information protection, and data lifecycle management. • Regularly evaluate Microsoft roadmap updates to leverage new security and productivity features. • Assist with cloud migrations and digital modernization initiatives (e.g., on-prem to M365 transitions). Infrastructure and Network Administration • Monitor and maintain hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises servers and Azure virtual environments across multiple company subscriptions. • Support IT asset inventory, license management, warranty tracking, and compliance documentation. • Provide tier-2/3 technical support for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues. • Implement and monitor backups, replication, and disaster recovery systems. • Document systems, controls, procedures, and recovery workflows. Network and Security Operations • Configure and monitor Cisco Meraki networks including access points, switches, and firewalls. • Administer and troubleshoot SonicWall NSA appliances, VPNs, and security policies. • Enforce technical and administrative controls for endpoint protection, encryption, and network access control. • Proactively analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimization strategies. • Implement monitoring and alerting for infrastructure health and security events. Offensive Security & Exposure Management • Leverage Horizon3.ai NodeZero to conduct automated penetration testing across systems and networks. • Evaluate vulnerabilities, validate findings, and collaborate on remediation with internal stakeholders. • Use Horizon3.ai reporting to prioritize and continuously improve security posture. • Integrate insights from Horizon3.ai into ongoing risk management and compliance documentation efforts. Required Qualifications: • 3+ years in an IT Systems Administrator or Network Administrator role. • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration including Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Azure environments. • Hands-on management of Cisco Meraki and SonicWall NSA networking hardware. • Familiarity with endpoint management, security compliance, and cloud-first architecture. • Practical experience conducting or supporting penetration tests with Horizon3.ai or similar tools. • Knowledge of backup and DR systems. • Strong documentation skills and a proactive, customer-oriented approach. • Security+ Certification or equivalent. • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. TSA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
