Senior Network & Security Engineer job at Grange Insurance Association. Seattle, WA. : As a Senior Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's infrastructure, systems, security and data communications. You will troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues and problems, and administer, install, and troubleshoot data and voice systems. You will also ensure the security of the company's systems and data. You will act as a mentor to other IT positions, such as Help Desk Technicians and Network Administrators, and share your expertise on systems, technology and security best practices and techniques. You will interface with internal and external customers and provide support in all areas of Infrastructure (Helpdesk). Some of your key responsibilities will be : As a Senior Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's infrastructure, systems, security and data communications. Some of your key responsibilities will be : Network Planning: • Identify requirements, develop plans, and anticipate capacity needs. • Plan and execute network installations and expansions. • Deep understanding and administration with Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, Juniper and cloud networking. Infrastructure Maintenance: • Maintain and upgrade workstations, networks, servers, databases, and backups using various technologies. • Administration and support of telephony and contact center systems (Teams, Amazon Connect, RingCentral and Nice InContact). • Deep understanding and administration with Hyperconverged platforms and Application load balancing. Cybersecurity: • Implement best practices and manage security solutions. Provide and monitor remote access using VPN, MFA tools and administration of CrowdStrike and knowbe4 platforms. • Identifies and assesses technology-related risks to information security associated with current and prospective technology solutions; and recommends appropriate mitigating controls. • Conducting security reviews, threat modeling, tracking findings, and communicating risk to engineering and leadership. • Security standard processes of third-party cloud environments. Project Management: • Leads projects and is responsible for technical leadership within projects. Consistently and successfully delegates work and divides up complex tasks for project teams. • Owns the quality of execution, iteration speed, quality of the decision-making, and quality of the results of projects. Things we are looking for in a new team member: Qualifications & Skills: REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience • Minimum of 8 years’ networking experience with network/Infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance. • Minimum of 8 years project management experience. • Minimum of 8 years of strong knowledge of firewalls, system access and configuration, network security, and anti-virus products. • Minimum of 8 years of strong knowledge of system performance and security methodologies and best practices. • Expert level experience of Hypervisor experience with VMware, AHV (Nutanix) and Hyper-V • Familiarity with Fortinet, Veeam, Knowbe4, CrowdStrike, VXRail, Nutanix, Azure, Application load balancing (A10, F5), and M365. • Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and accurately. • Ability to participate in on-call duties as needed.
