The County’s application portfolio to be migrated to Azure PaaS is developed in Microsoft technologies both front end and backend. The individual will be working with the AMS team and must possess strong communication, facilitation, business analysis, and documentation skillsets and have proven success in continuous process improvement. The position reports to the Applications Manager. The primary role of this position will be to migrate, refactor, redesign and re-write existing applications to serverless Azure PaaS environment and eliminate any dependencies of existing on-prem servers. Key responsibilities include: • Analyzing requirements and designing new functionality • Supporting and fixing existing functionality • Selecting and using the most appropriate and efficient technologies for a particular application • Designing and building application layers • Implementing Application Infrastructure in Azure PaaS setup o Work on the creation of scalable CI/CD pipelines o Integration of solutions for continuous deployment o Incorporating the best DevOps capabilities into development o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) o Implement infrastructure compliance and security • Implementing DevOps Development Processes o Integrate source control. o Manage build infrastructure. o Implement code flow. o Managing application configuration and secrets • Deliver on promised dates and timeframes while following the documented business processes. • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. • Identify issues, risks, and dependencies and escalate appropriately. Skills, Experience, and Education: Minimum: The successful candidate will have a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and considerable education, training and experience that demonstrates competency in the following areas: Essential • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills • Verbal and written communication skills to translate technical information for users at all levels • A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Azure DevOps and Azure PaaS setup experience. • Significant work experience in .Net platform, C#, MVC (3,4 and 5), HTML and jQuery. • Collaboration with multiple developers utilizing source control software. • Experience with Applications support and maintenance of an enterprise level environment. • Experience developing technical documentation for system enhancements and test scenarios. • Experience with SQL server in PaaS and ability to understand and write complex T-SQL statements.
