Under general direction, the Director of Information Technology (IT) will develop, plan, and implement an information technology (IT) strategy that meets the company’s business needs, delivers optimal return on investment, and maintains utmost security. The position requires coordinating program-wide information systems, planning and ensuring that mid- to long-term plans are prioritized and consistent with resource constraints; oversees the development of new automated systems and programs as well as the modification and enhancement of existing systems to meet user needs; and coordinates the acquisition of new and replacement hardware and software and manages relationships with managed service vendors for help desk and network management. The Director, Information Technology (IT) provides technology-related vision and leadership for the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) initiatives that help DAAA run efficiently and meet industry best practices including Security and HIPAA. This is a key management position that is responsible for aligning the IT strategy and supporting policies with DAAA business strategy and policies/strategy/services provided by DAAA. Education • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Computer Science, or Information Technology, and/or related field required Work Experience • At least 10 years’ progressive IT experience, Medicaid, Healthcare and/or not for profit experience a plus. • 5 years of management experience • Strong customer service skills, • Ability to negotiate • Excellent written & verbal communication skills • Strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities • Decision-making capability required • Excellent ability to conceptualize long-term business goals and develop orderly processes to accomplish those goals and meet demanding deadlines Computer Skills:? • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 business programs • Microsoft Server, Switches and Firewall management is a plus. • The candidate needs to understand IT documentation requirements and policy/procedure requirements. Experience with virtual systems is a plus. Systems-interfacing is a plus. • Knowledge of HIPAA requirements related to IT is preferred This position coordinates with DAAA managed service help desk vendor on daily break/fix support operations and ensures that technical strategy, policy, and procurement are consistent with broader DAAA enterprise architecture and the information security program. • Develop the organization’s IT vision, budget and translate it into actionable goals. Communicates goals, projects, and timelines of the company to the department; plans ways to execute those goals within the department and deliver outcomes timely. • Oversee technical development projects and provide support and expertise to ensure alignment with DAAA operational goals. • Interface with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve quality, quantify impact, prioritize initiatives, and develop execution plans where IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals. • Manage and build customer relationships and create client satisfaction, ensuring all requirements, schedules, deliverables, and milestones are met for IT work orders, tasks, and projects. • Manages the secure operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the computer equipment available in the organization. Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IT are performed as needed. • Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions. Ensure Network and Computer Security Industry best practices are enforced. • Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs. Establishes long-term IT needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs. • Tests and assure the disaster recovery process is capable of meeting recovery standards, business continuity plan in lieu of electronic systems being available, HIPAA compliance related to IT, and other regulatory compliance as needed. • Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining IT requirements and/or solutions. • Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations. • Performs other duties as assigned.
