Job Title: Microsoft 365 Power Automate Developer (Consulting Role) Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-time | Contract | Consulting Duration: 6-Month Contract Industry: Energy/Utilites --- About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Microsoft 365 Power Automate Developer to join our team on a 6-month consulting engagement. This hybrid role, based in Chicago, IL, involves working closely with clients and internal teams to design and implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 tools. Ideal candidates will bring 8–10 years of experience in digital process automation, a strong consulting mindset, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions. --- Key Responsibilities · Design, build, and deploy Power Automate workflows, Power Apps, and custom connectors to streamline business operations. · Translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. · Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and IT stakeholders to define and validate functional and technical requirements. · Integrate Power Platform tools with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel), , and external APIs. · Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications. · Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and integration errors. · Provide training and support to end-users and clients to ensure successful adoption. · Create final solutions that can be modified by semi-technical staff (no-code/low-code solutions) · Stay informed on the latest Microsoft Power Platform features and best practices to recommend enhancements. --- Required Skills & Qualifications · 8–10 years of overall experience, including substantial hands-on development with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI. · Deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem—SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, etc. · Extensive experience in workflow automation, business process improvement, and low-code/no-code application development. · Advanced problem-solving and debugging skills. · Clear, confident communication—able to articulate technical ideas to non-technical clients and stakeholders. · Experience in client-facing or consulting roles is strongly preferred. --- Preferred Qualifications · Microsoft certification · Demonstrated experience. --- Why Join Us · Work on mission-critical automation projects that drive digital transformation. · Partner with cross-industry clients and solve diverse business challenges. · Enjoy a flexible hybrid schedule in Chicago, IL. · Grow your expertise within the Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies.
