Client Type: Government (One of our Govt. clients in Baltimore County) Contract Duration: 5 Years Employment Type: Contract (Full Time) Compensation: $60 / hr Work Location: Onsite – 6901 N. Charles Street, Towson, MD 21204 Summary: One of our Govt. clients in Baltimore, MD is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer – Cloud Security & IAM to support a long-term IT modernization program. This is a government contract role valid through July 2028 under the Information Technology Staffing Services (CWA-122-23) agreement. The engineer will enhance hybrid-cloud security across Active Directory, Azure AD, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while advancing Identity & Access Management (IAM) and SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel) integrations for improved visibility, compliance, and incident response. Responsibilities: • Strengthen hybrid cloud security (AD, Azure, GCP) • Conduct IAM / cloud security audits and compliance checks • Configure and maintain Entra ID, Azure AD, and GCP IAM • Develop Sentinel analytic rules, dashboards, and playbooks • Automate provisioning and monitoring via PowerShell / MS Graph • Support threat detection & incident response activities • Collaborate with IT & Security teams on IAM policies Qualifications • 3 + years’ experience in Cloud Security or IAM Engineering • Strong skills in Azure AD, GCP IAM, LDAP, MS Graph, PowerShell • Hands-on with Microsoft Sentinel (setup, log ingestion, use cases) • Understanding of RBAC, PAM, Conditional Access • Certifications preferred: Azure Security Engineer, GCP Security Engineer, Security + Preferred Skills • Automation/Scripting (PowerShell / Python) • Familiarity with NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001 frameworks • Excellent communication & documentation skills Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • Health insurance Experience: • Cloud Security or IAM: 3 years (Required) • Azure AD and GCP IAM tools: 2 years (Required) • Microsoft Sentinel SIEM: 2 years (Required) • PowerShell or MS Graph scripting: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: • Azure or GCP Security certification (Required) • U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card (Required) Ability to Commute: • Towson, MD 21204 (Required) Work Location: In person
