In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our IT infrastructure in the banking industry. This is an on-site position that requires extensive knowledge and experience in Exchange, SharePoint, SAN, and Azure. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, enhancing system performance, and ensuring high levels of availability and security of our core business applications. Responsibilities As a Sr. System/Cloud Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to • Designing, implementing, and maintaining our Exchange, SharePoint, SAN, and future Azure infrastructure. • Developing and managing cloud-based solutions that meet the company's requirements. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and identify solutions. • Ensuring the security, integrity, and high availability of all assigned systems and cloud solutions. • Troubleshooting and resolving any IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. • Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members. • Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements to ensure our systems remain current and effective. • Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. • Creating detailed reports on system status, performance, and planning for senior management. Qualifications To be considered for the Sr. System/Cloud Engineer role, you must possess the following • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the banking industry. • Proven experience with Exchange, SharePoint, SAN, and Azure. • A deep understanding of cloud technologies and system architecture. • Experience maintaining and deploying virtual machines with VMware • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • A strong understanding of IT security best practices. • Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution. • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. • Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar would be advantageous.
