Location Washington DC or Tysons Corner, VA Security Clearance Requirement Active TS/SCI clearance required before hire About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Data Pulse Tech team. In this role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure, automation, and application development to maintain and enhance our systems. You will be responsible for managing Python-based applications and supporting both front-end and back-end codebases while implementing DevOps best practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with minimal supervision • Manage and optimize deployment workflows across development, testing, and production environments • Support and maintain existing Python applications and front-end/back-end codebases • Identify and implement infrastructure and application performance improvements. • Develop and implement project process changes, including new solutions and technologies • Establish technical standards and approve project specifications • Analyze technical, performance, and cost impacts of proposed solutions • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members • Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security according to organizational best practices Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field • 8-10+ years of experience in development, operations, and/or maintenance of integrated IT systems/applications • In-depth knowledge of at least one application development platform or expert-level knowledge in a specific platform/programming language • Strong experience with Python development and DevOps practices • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems • Active TS/SCI security clearance Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in government or defense sector projects • Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) • Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) • Familiarity with microservices architecture • Configuration management experience (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) • Experience with security compliance in cloud environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $144,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Compensation Package: • Bonus opportunities Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Holidays • Monday to Friday Education: • Bachelor's (Required) Security clearance: • Top Secret (Required) Ability to Commute: • Tysons, VA 22182 (Required) Work Location: In person
