Job Title: Senior Cloud DevOps Architect Client: State of Ohio- DCY Location: Columbus, OH - Hybrid (Must report to 35 East Chestnut, Columbus, OH 43215 as needed) Preferred: Candidates local to Columbus, Ohio Work Environment: • Hybrid role - Must be available to work onsite at 35 East Chestnut, Columbus, OH as needed. • Flexible work arrangements with occasional after-hours support responsibilities. Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Architect to lead the design, development, deployment, and support of secure, scalable, and highly available solutions in Azure and AWS environments. This is a hybrid role requiring occasional onsite work in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate will work closely with architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to drive cloud strategy and DevOps adoption. This role requires extensive experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), DevOps automation, container orchestration, cloud security, and integrating legacy systems into cloud-native architectures. The position demands a high level of independence, leadership, and expertise across a multi-cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, maintenance, and operations of cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, etc.) • Translate business and security requirements into technical implementations. • Define and implement DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. • Oversee and manage cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, compute, and containers. • Deploy, configure, and support Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing environments. • Automate operational processes to reduce manual tasks and enhance transparency. • Ensure high availability and scalability of cloud applications and infrastructure. • Lead troubleshooting, outage response, and root cause analysis for cloud operations. • Integrate legacy systems with modern cloud platforms; identify architectural gaps and lead modernization initiatives. • Develop and deliver documentation, technical reports, and presentations to stakeholders. • Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis as needed. Required Education & Certifications: • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or related field. • Azure AZ-305 (Mandatory) • AWS Solutions Architect - Professional (Mandatory) • Salesforce AD201 & AD301 (Preferred) Required Skills & Experience: • 10+ years of systems analysis and network administration experience. • 5+ years working in enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). • 7+ years of experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure design. • Proven DevOps expertise using Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD, and Copado. • Advanced knowledge of: • Azure and AWS services • SaaS/PaaS/IaaS integration • Web Services / APIs (REST, RPC) • Networking, virtualization, and cloud security principles • Expert in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash. • Experience with: • Infrastructure as Code • Containers & Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) • Serverless Computing • Monitoring tools • Agile/DevOps principles • Familiarity with multivendor SaaS integrations and complex hybrid environments. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
