The DMS Division of Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) is hiring a Branch Manager for our long-term services branch. The Division of LTSS administers several Medicaid programs that provide long term care to Kentuckians who are aged or have a disability. The goal of the division is to provide the support needed to meet an individual’s needs and give them a choice whether it be residing in an institution or living in the community with services whenever possible. The programs within the long-term care branch include Nursing facilities, Intermediate care facilities and clinics, Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), Hospice, and Nurse Aide Training Registry. For more information on E-Verify, or if you believe that CHFS has violated its E-Verify responsibilities, please contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at 888-897-7781 or https://dhs.gov/e-verify Responsibilities And Duties • Oversee the operations and program development of the Long-Term Services Branch. • Supervise staff within the Long-Term services branch. • Provide technical assistance to staff, program participants or Medicaid members, providers and other community partners via phone, email or other electronic means. • Draft and monitor contracts within the branch, reviewing and analyzing program data. • Participate in the development of and/or recommend changes to Medicaid policies and regulations, including system changes to enhance economical and efficient operations. • Interpret Federal and State Regulations. • Ensure economical and efficient operation in compliance with state and federal guidelines, regulations. • Conduct desk level and onsite monitoring activities, investigate health, safety, welfare concerns. • Arrange, attend and lead meetings. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Experience with Medicaid, Long Term Care, Home Health, Hospice, Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly. • Proficient in Microsoft Office. • Ability to quickly learn Medicaid specific computer applications. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional experience in the administration of human services programs, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in social work, health administration, labor relations, public or business administration or related field will substitute for one year of the required experience. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative or business experience, or professional, subprofessional, or clerical work in a human services area, emergency management services, emergency medical technician, paramedic, or related field will substitute for the required education on a year- for-year basis.
