Cloud Platform Engineer (Mid-Level & Junior) Our client in the travel sector is hiring two Cloud Platform Engineers—one Mid-Level and one Junior—to join their Infrastructure and IT Operations team. These roles are ideal for candidates with real-world Azure Cloud experience who are eager to grow in a hands-on, enterprise-focused environment. This role is contract to hire, meaning you will convert on salary with the client after 12 months. Conversion salary can go up to $120k/year. This is HYBRID in Woodland Hills, CA, 3 days per week! While on contract we have benefit options available at a discount through Insight Global starting from Day 1 of employment. 🔍 About the Role You’ll be part of a team managing and improving Azure infrastructure, supporting developers, and collaborating with managed service providers. The Mid-Level Engineer will operate with moderate autonomy, while the Junior Engineer will receive hands-on support and mentorship. This is not a helpdesk role. We’re looking for candidates who understand Azure infrastructure—not just desktop troubleshooting or M365/Intune support. ✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience • 1–2 years of hands-on Azure Cloud experience (not M365 or Intune, actual Azure Cloud) • Azure must have been a primary focus in your previous role (≥50% of your time) • Ability to provide technical examples of your Azure work • Experience with core Azure services (do not need all of these): vNet, VMs, Web App / Function App, Storage Accounts, SQL Server/MI, Key Vaults, NSG, Log Analytics, Azure Policy, IAM (RBAC, Managed Identities), Enterprise Apps • EntraID / AD / DNS: 1–2 years • Infrastructure security fundamentals: 1 year - Familiarity with NIST/CIS standards or experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, banking, government) • Basic networking knowledge: Subnet/block, vNet peering, routing, private endpoints • IT Operations fundamentals: Backups, logs, SIEM, app architecture • General understanding of CI/CD, IaC (Terraform), and configuration management 🌟 Nice to Have / Bonus Skills • Microsoft Sentinel • Defender for Cloud (not Defender Endpoint) • Azure vWAN, AVD (infrastructure-level understanding) • Additional Azure tech stacks (storage, compute, networking) • Terraform, Ansible • Azure Security Center • Firewall rules, public vs. private access • SIEM tools 🚫 Not a Fit If You… • Only have mainly AWS or other cloud experience • Primarily supported M365, Intune, or AVD desktops • Come from a software company with advanced cloud stacks (our environment is more traditional enterprise) • Cannot explain your Azure experience in technical detail 🚀 Why Join?
