Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts (State & Local Health) Base Salary: $175,000–$190,000 + Bonus Hybrid Situation: In office 3 days a week Overview A nationally recognized professional services firm is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Accounts (State & Local Health) to lead strategic business development initiatives across multiple states. This high-impact role focuses on relationship management and growth within state health and procurement agencies, helping the organization identify, pursue, and win key opportunities in the public sector health space. This is a strategic, relationship-driven position - ideal for someone who understands how to navigate complex state health systems and build trusted relationships with decision makers in government agencies. Key Responsibilities • Manage and grow strategic relationships with state and local government health procurement departments and decision makers. • Identify and qualify new opportunities across multiple states and health programs. • Conduct market research and analyze competitive activity to inform growth strategy. • Collaborate closely with leadership to execute multi-year business development plans. • Maintain accurate tracking of relationships, opportunities, and outcomes in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar). • Provide insights on procurement trends, re-bid cycles, and health policy shifts to inform firm strategy. • Represent the firm at relevant events, forums, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Health, Business, Law, or related field. • 5–10 years of experience in business development, client management, or sales support. • Experience within a consulting, accounting, or legal professional services environment. • Proven background working with state and local government procurement offices, particularly in the health sector. • Deep understanding of state healthcare policy, Medicaid funding, and contracting processes. • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Excel. • Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills.
