Core4ce Senior Data Engineer 898-383 We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team in developing a cutting-edge, multi-cloud cybersecurity system that will redefine how organizations detect, analyze, and respond to threats across complex digital environments. In this role, you’ll design and deliver advanced data pipelines and platforms that fuse telemetry from AWS, Azure, and hybrid infrastructures into a unified, high-performance ecosystem. You’ll work with cloud-native data services, distributed databases, and AI/ML analytics to power real-time insights, drive automation, and enable faster, smarter cybersecurity decisions at scale. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. • Architect, optimize, and maintain large-scale distributed database solutions for performance and efficiency. • Develop and optimize data pipelines to ingest, curate, enrich, and deliver data from diverse sources (cloud logs, cyber tools, environment telemetry). • Evaluate, select, and integrate various distributed database technologies (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, CockroachDB, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL with sharding). • Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and tuning strategies to maintain system health and performance. • Work with cybersecurity engineers, software developers, and AI/ML teams to define data requirements and integrate with analytics, and SOC/NOC workflows. • Drive best practices for database design, development, and operations, including automation and infrastructure as code. • Stay current with emerging distributed data and cloud-native technologies to recommend and integrate new capabilities. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, with emphasis on distributed databases. • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale distributed database systems (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, CockroachDB, DynamoDB, distributed PostgreSQL). • Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages for data engineering tasks. • Strong understanding of database internals, distributed transactions, and consistency models. • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure data services. • Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) for provisioning data infrastructure. • Familiarity with performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning. • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, Security+ CE), or obtain to obtain one within 90 days). • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink). • Familiarity with data mesh principles and distributed data ownership patterns. • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud networking and data transfer optimization. • Experience in cybersecurity data engineering, such as enabling threat detection, enriching telemetry, or supporting SOC/NOC analytics. • Exposure to mission simulation environments and synthetic data generation. • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
