Title: IT System Administrator Report To: Director of IT Salary: Based on Experience Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days ONSITE-NASHVILLE, 2 days remote. POSITION SUMMARY: The System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Core IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of server hardware, operating systems, and network protocols. The System Administrator will work closely with the IT team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's system environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Database Management: Maintain database systems including SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, and file-based semi-structured data formats. • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high levels of data availability, integrity, and security. • Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. • Security: Ensure database security, including user roles, access controls, and encryption. • Help Desk: Assist with handling work tickets via WorkDay that are escalated from the 1st level, operational server tasks, managing back-ups, patch management, and minor Meraki networking items. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
