Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Development Operations Engineer II to join our Los Angeles team in a remote capacity. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring efficient, secure, and reliable software delivery. The DevOps Engineer II will foster collaboration between development and operations teams, improve workflows, and optimize the scalability and performance of applications. Local candidates to Los Angeles are preferred. Key Responsibilities of a DevOps Engineer II Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. • Automate testing and deployment processes to deliver high-quality releases efficiently. Monitoring and Logging • Configure and manage monitoring and logging systems to track application health. • Analyze metrics and logs to troubleshoot and optimize system performance. Collaboration and Documentation • Partner with development, QA, and IT operations to streamline workflows. • Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices to ensure system reliability. Security and Compliance • Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployments. • Conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and maintain version control access protocols. Infrastructure Automation • Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. • Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud-based environments, particularly on Azure. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with developers, administrators, and QA teams to ensure seamless delivery. • Focus on improving collaboration, productivity, and system reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 4–6 years of experience in DevOps, IT operations, or related roles. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD. • Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure preferred). • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef. • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and log management. • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in healthcare or regulated industries. • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell. • Prior experience with scaling applications in cloud environments.
