We're seeking a motivated and dynamic Design Team Lead to join our team in our San Antonio Office! Juniper Office is seeking an experienced Design Team Lead to join our fast-paced, dedicated Design team. The Designer position plays a vital role in helping our clients achieve the cutting edge, modern and open space concepts they are looking for. This position will be responsible for designing work areas that fit within the client’s budget, available space and needs. About Us: • Our organization operates by our core values: Humility, Team Player, Attitude, Loyalty and Work Ethic • We are leaders in the industry, at the forefront of innovative office space design • We have a collaborative work environment fostering creativity and growth What You'll Do: • Collaborates with Project Consultants and potential clients on their upcoming projects and asks diagnostic questions to determine their client’s requirements, budget, employee count and space planning needs. • Use SketchUp, CET and Auto CAD to create floor and 3D renderings. • Select and specify office furniture, fabrics and finishes that reflect the client’s workplace culture and budget. • Accurately apply applicable discounts where needed and create solutions for client approval. • Update quotes and make necessary revisions in a timely manner to ensure the project is accurate and complete. • Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing team to ensure each project is created and ordered correctly. • Assists with training of new members as required. • Communicates regularly with the team regarding pricing, product, or process updates. • Leadership of Designers to ensure all designs are completed on or before time accurately. • Manage the design list and assign projects appropriately. • Oversees the organization of design’s shared drive files to ensure information is easily accessible. • Assist with Design Team meetings and actively participate in discussions. • Recommend and implement, upon approval, systems & processes that increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of the design department. • Train designers on accuracy on solutions/specifying and understanding of products. • Ensure accuracy of all solutions, renderings and provide coaching to minimize errors. • Review Design and OTIF reports for accuracy and/or errors and provide coaching to the design team as necessary. • Maintain Design department metrics and report as required. • Work cross functionally across the company on projects, teams, as needed, and maintain positive relationships within the workplace. • Conduct interviews for any future design candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers. • Hold Bi-weekly 1:1s with designers to provide coaching and development. • Occasional 1:1s with Director of Design to ensure performances are being met. • Proficiency, participation, and leadership skills are at highest level. What You'll Need: • College Degree in Design preferred • Knowledge of Sketchup and Auto CAD preferred • Space planning experience a plus • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint • Basic mathematic skills required • High level of attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Strong customer service skills with a desire to go above and beyond to assist others • Professional demeanor • Positive attitude Position: Juniper Design Team Lead Status: Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday/ 7:30am-4:30pm In-Office EEO Information The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, drug free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
