Job Title: Infrastructure Support and Certified Technician Reports to: Technology Supervisor Work Year: 260-262 days (12 months) Occasional evenings/weekends for system maintenance or emergencies. Starting Wage - $65,000 based on qualifications and experience Posting Date: October 3, 2025 A review of applications will be ongoing through October 20, 2025 and continue until the position is filled. Job Summary The Infrastructure Support and Certified Technician supports the district’s technology infrastructure while also providing advanced technical support to staff and students. This position bridges responsibilities between hands-on technical troubleshooting and higher-level infrastructure support, ensuring reliable operation of network systems, servers, devices, and instructional technology across the district. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Support • Assist in the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of district servers, cloud platforms, storage, and network systems. • Support wired and wireless network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and access points. • Perform system updates, backups, and security patches on a regular schedule. • Help implement disaster recovery and data protection measures. Technical Support & Integration • Serve as an escalation point for district technicians on complex troubleshooting issues. • Support deployment, imaging, and management of district devices (Chromebooks, Mac laptops, iPads, Windows Devices, etc.). • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced hardware, software, and peripheral issues for staff and students. • Assist with administration and troubleshooting of district applications and integrations (e.g., SIS, LMS, communication tools) • Collaborate with instructional staff to support effective integration of technology in classrooms. Collaboration & Documentation • Assist with planning and rollout of new technology initiatives and upgrades. • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and inventory. • Provide training and mentorship to technicians and end users as needed. • Collaborate with outside vendors and service providers for escalated support. Qualifications Education & Experience • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of experience in technology support, with at least 1 year in systems or network administration. • Experience in a K-12 school environment helpful. Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace administration. • Understanding of wired/wireless networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, routing, switching). • Experience with device management platforms (e.g., Google Admin Console, MDM solutions). • Competency with ticketing systems and ITIL-based support processes. Other Skills • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. • Ability to balance infrastructure responsibilities with day-to-day end-user support. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on emerging technologies. Certifications (Preferred, Not Required) • CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Server+ • Microsoft, Google, or Apple certifications • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
