Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Admin Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite) Experience: 8+ Years Key Responsibilities: • Identity & Access Management (IAM) Manage OCI IAM policies, groups, and users. Implement least privilege access control for resources. Configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) for security. Integrate OCI IAM with external identity providers (e.g., IDCS, Microsoft Entra ID). • Networking & Security Configure and manage VCNs (Virtual Cloud Networks), subnets, route tables, and gateways. Implement Security Lists (SL) and Network Security Groups (NSG). Manage FastConnect, VPN, and private peering. Monitor and enforce OCI security best practices (e.g., OCI Cloud Guard, Security Zones). Set up WAF (Web Application Firewall) and Cloud Guard. • Compute & Storage Management Provision, configure, and maintain OCI Compute instances (VMs and Bare Metal). Manage block volumes, file storage, object storage, and archive storage. Implement snapshots and backup policies for disaster recovery. • Monitoring & Logging Configure and analyze OCI Logging, Monitoring, and Alarms. Set up OCI Observability & Management services. Use Service Metrics and Cloud Advisor for performance tuning. • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Automate OCI resource provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager. Implement CI/CD pipelines for OCI deployments. Use OCI CLI and SDKs for scripting tasks. • Backup, DR, & Business Continuity Define and implement Backup & Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. Configure Object Storage replication and cross-region backups. Manage OCI Vault for encryption keys and secrets. • Cost Management & Optimization Monitor and optimize OCI costs using Budgets, Cost Analysis, and Cost Governance tools. Identify unused or underutilized resources and optimize spending. Apply auto-scaling policies to optimize performance and costs. • Governance & Compliance Implement Tagging strategies for better resource management. Enforce OCI Security and Compliance best practices (e.g., CIS benchmarks). Set up Resource Quotas & Compartments for proper isolation. • Incident Response & Troubleshooting Respond to OCI incidents, failures, or security breaches. Troubleshoot network, compute, and storage issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 8+ years of experience in Cloud Computing, including strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). • Proficiency in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and OCI services like Compute, Storage, Networking, DBaaS (Autonomous DB, Oracle Database Cloud Service). • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Shell Scripting, Python for infrastructure automation. • Strong knowledge of OCI IAM, Security Lists, Network Security Groups, Bastion Hosts, Load Balancers. • Expertise in monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting OCI environments. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud governance frameworks. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
