Position: Java Developer with Azure Cloud Migration Experience Location: Chicago, IL (onsite/hybrid) Duration: Long-term Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and a proven track record of cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a cloud-first environment and have successfully migrated applications and services to the Azure Cloud. This role requires a combination of strong Java development skills and a deep understanding of Azure services, architecture, and deployment strategies. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java and related technologies. Lead or contribute to the migration of on-premise applications to Azure Cloud. Implement cloud-native solutions using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure SQL, and Storage. Optimize application performance and scalability in a cloud environment. Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to define deployment strategies using CI/CD pipelines. Ensure application security, compliance, and reliability on Azure. Troubleshoot issues related to application performance, deployment, and integrations in Azure. Required Skills: 8+ years of Java development experience. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including services like Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, etc. Proven experience in migrating applications to Azure Cloud (lift-and-shift or refactoring). Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity management. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have Qualifications: Azure certification (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
