Job Title: Senior Azure Devops Engineer Job Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite), (Multiple locations, USA) Job Type: W2 W2 Role and H1 Transfers are encouraged to apply!!. Job Description: Senior Azure DevOps engineers typically have a background in development, operations, and full-stack implementations. They should also have experience programming in a high-level language like Python, Ruby, or Java. Some popular tools that DevOps engineers use include: Terraform, Azure, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Must have strong 10+ years of experience. Responsibilities: • Automating processes: Working with developers to automate testing, releasing, and deploying applications. • Creating infrastructures: Designing highly available infrastructures. • Providing continuous delivery: Using tools like Jenkins and Puppet to establish and implement continuous delivery practices • Managing cloud providers: Using tools to manage different cloud providers • Shaping DevOps culture: Playing a key role in shaping the organization's DevOps culture and practices • Delivering features: Using continuous deployment to deliver features and fixes to customers quickly and reliably Skills required: • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes • Strong understanding of application development methodologies • Adept at evaluating problems accurately and displaying sound judgment • Familiarity with a broad portfolio of Azure, AWS infrastructure tools (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC) and experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies (Chef, Puppet) • Scripting (shell, python, ruby) skills for monitoring and automation • Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, etc. • Experience optimizing applications, both stand-alone and in distributed systems to maximize performance • Experience maintaining an infrastructure and ensuring stability while adding new features • Ability to clearly articulate design and implementation choices • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools • Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment • Possess a strong grasp of automation tools • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders • Experience working in a research or academic environment preferred Would you like to know more about this opportunity?
