As an integral member of the CBP End User Device IT Management Services team, the Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM) & Intune Systems Administrator will be responsible for administration of a distributed Windows desktop environment, utilizing enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, and internet-based devices. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various teams providing Tier II/III support to end users through the effective use and management of the enterprise ticket management system with expedient resolution to trouble tickets, service requests, break fixes, and change requests. This role shall adhere to established procedures and approved cybersecurity practices while delivering exceptional customer support. This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Ashburn, VA however remote option will be considered and approved on a case-by-case basis if an option. Responsibilities • Backup/support Tier II/III troubleshooting team with issues if needed pertaining to client workstation systems. • Provide Administrative operations and maintenance support of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager infrastructure, patching, and updates to include troubleshooting issues when they arise. • Performs administration and systems management functions to maintain stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture • Assist with operations, maintenance, and customer support for Microsoft Intune • May need to assist with Tests and integrates workstation changes • Manages and Implements security and compliance features • Experience at the Administrator level with supporting common applications as well as third party applications running on Windows such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Sign for Government, and Microsoft 365 Apps • Experience providing customer support to clients at all levels within an organization including VIP and Senior Executive leadership. • Configure, test and implement group policy changes in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements as requested by customer. • Perform additional duties as assigned. • Critical Thinking • Problem Solving • Communications • Cybersecurity Awareness • Adapts quickly to new technologies Qualifications • Current CBP Background Investigation -or- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance (REQUIRED). • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field; in lieu of degree, 3-5 years of experience providing IT administration and/or engineering services. • Certifications in A+, Security+, BeyondTrust, Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator, or MECM related are a plus. • Experience administrating Windows 10 and 11 operating systems • Experience utilizing and maintaining enterprise management systems such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Active Directory, MS Entra ID and Intune. • Proficiency in configuring and managing Active Directory, implementing security and compliance features, and optimizing endpoint solutions • Demonstrated experience with configuration of Windows desktop operating systems and management thereof with Active Directory Group Policy and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. • Knowledge of implementing/troubleshooting Browser Extensions, Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs). • Exposure to Cloud Endpoint Management (MS Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, etc.) • Exposure to Applications (M365 Apps, Adobe Creative Cloud, Beyond Trust, etc.) • Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Task Sequences (or similar product) for the purposes of performing Operating System Deployments (OSD) or building deployments requiring multiple steps. • Ability to troubleshoot application installations and end user issues pertaining to usage • Excellent collaborative, written, and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Ashburn, VA however remote option will be considered and approved on a case-by-case basis if an option.
