Data Analyst Carson, CA 90746 Long term Contract Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI. Write advanced SQL queries and stored procedures to support financial and billing-related reporting. Develop and maintain SSRS reports. Convert legacy reports into scalable and maintainable Power BI solutions. Build and manage ETL processes using SSIS and Power BI Dataflows. Perform data analysis and provide insights related to various data sources Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and reporting requirements to ensure report accuracy and usability. Automate data refresh, notifications, and report delivery workflows using SQL Reporting Services and/or Power Automate to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort. Prepare and maintain financial reporting within the Open Gov online reporting platform, ensuring alignment with internal and external reporting requirements. Deliverables Functional and user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI that align with business and financial reporting needs. Well-documented SQL scripts, ETL workflows (via SSIS and Power BI Dataflows), and clear data transformation logic. Automated report distribution and workflow notifications that are configured through SQL SSRS or Power Automate. Scheduled and on-demand reports delivered via SSRS and Power BI. Ad-hoc data analysis and visualizations tailored to executive and departmental requests. Accurate and timely Budget vs. Actuals reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, including detailed variance analysis and trend commentary. Financial data reporting packages that are prepared in OpenGov ensure consistency between internal data sources and public-facing platforms. Clear, structured documentation for all assets and workflows to ensure seamless handover, maintenance, and audit readiness.
