Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of all network services. This role requires a proactive approach to network monitoring and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to implement security measures to protect our systems. Duties • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. • Implement and manage Virtualization technologies to enhance resource utilization. • Configure and maintain MPLS networks for efficient data routing. • Ensure security of the network by implementing firewalls and monitoring traffic for suspicious activity. • Perform deployment, imaging, and configuration of desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment for new hires and hardware refreshes. • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues (break/fix), escalating to vendors or senior staff when necessary. • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for MS Office 365 applications, Windows 10/11, and common desktop software. • Maintain and update Active Directory objects, including user accounts, groups, and device records. • Assist with mobile device setup and support. • Maintain inventory and documentation of hardware assets and deployment activities. • Provide in-person and remote support to users across multiple sites, ensuring prompt issue resolution and exceptional customer service. • Support A/V setups for meetings, presentations, and events. • Collaborate with IT leadership on continuous improvement efforts and project-based work (e.g., system rollouts, software upgrades). • Utilize PowerShell for automation of routine tasks and network management. • Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. • Collaborate with other IT staff to support organizational goals and projects. Experience • Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in IT support or administration. • Familiarity with Virtualization technologies is preferred. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Some experience in a desktop support or IT field services role. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows desktop environments. • Network Fundamentals familiarity • VMWare and virtual environment computing • Basic Linux CLI • Familiarity with Active Directory for user/device management. • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair (laptops, desktops, printers). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with non-technical users.
