SUMMARY: Kestra is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to help drive our transformation into a data-centric organization. In this role, you will design and deliver insightful, user-friendly reports and dashboards that surface key metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders at all levels to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions. As a key contributor to our data journey, you will also participate in the ongoing development of a modern data platform by collaborating across Data Analytics and Data Engineering to enable scalable, insight-driven solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: • Collaborate with Data Engineering to design and maintain data sets, reports, and dashboards that embed data governance, data stewardship, and data quality initiatives. • Translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions, and guide stakeholders in generating and interpreting actionable insights. • Promote data literacy across the organization by enabling effective use and understanding of data assets across all departments. • Research and evaluate business intelligence tools and vendors to enhance capabilities in embedded analytics, AI-driven insights, and search-based dashboarding. • Partner with Data Engineering to structure, optimize, and maintain certified datasets that serve as trusted sources for enterprise reporting and advanced analytics. • Participate in all phases of the BI solution lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and delivery. • Establish, document, and enforce consistent development methodologies and best practices for business intelligence solutions. • Create and manage a central repository of documentation to support the standardization of report design, development, deployment, and maintenance. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual should have the following skills and abilities: • Proven ability to deliver business value through the development of effective KPIs, metrics, and time-series visualizations. • Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and technologies, particularly Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks. • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; a team player who works well in cross-functional environments. • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality outputs. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Positive, people-oriented attitude with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement. • Naturally curious and innovative, with a drive to explore new tools, techniques, and approaches that enhance data capabilities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using enterprise BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sisense; relevant certifications strongly preferred. • Experience designing queries and building datasets using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) or similar relational databases. • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and their application in dashboard/report design is a plus. • Experience working with marketing and lead generation data, including building dashboards to track content engagement and campaign performance. • Proficient in implementing row-level security and other access control mechanisms in enterprise reporting environments. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using project management tools such as Jira or Confluence. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with deployment processes for BI assets. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Tableau certifications, such as Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Data Analyst, or Tableau Server Certified Associate, are highly preferred. • Certifications in related BI tools (e.g., Looker, Sisense, Power BI) are also considered a plus.
