Overview Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide SQL Server support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities • Manage SQL database instances, or PostgreSQL, to manage and interact with hosted software applications such as SharePoint sites, NetQoS, Cacti, SolarWinds, etc. • Complete design, installation, configurations, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance. • Conduct database backups and recovery processes in accordance with all local and federal guidelines/policies. • Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, tables, scripts, and implementation guides. • Perform server migrations and data conversions, as needed. • Develop and maintain SQL Server environment technical documentation and system security plans. • Provision, install, configure, operate, maintain certificate management requirements as well as the maintenance of high availability production and disaster recovery (DR) sites. • Identify system issues and provide feasible courses of action to mitigate/resolve problems. • Respond to system faults, analyzing and correcting applications or errors to reestablish service. • Perform administrative work using and installing new and existing physical or webbased database application systems in a smart card Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment. Qualifications 5+ years experience in database administration and management. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold one of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals; or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Server Admin). Experience with design, normalization, optimization, modification of Microsoft SQL databases. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
