Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Analyst to join our IT Disaster Recovery and Business Resiliency team. This role requires someone with a broad understanding of IT systems – an "IT generalist" who can help coordinate and support DR testing across cloud, on-premise, and co-location environments. You will work closely with a team of ten professionals to ensure effective planning, coordination, and execution of disaster recovery efforts. This is a hybrid role, requiring 5 days onsite per week in Richmond, VA starting in September. Key Responsibilities • Plan, coordinate, and execute IT disaster recovery tests between multiple environments (cloud, co-location, on-prem). • Participate in Agile/Kanban-based planning and daily meetings using tools like JIRA. • Update documentation and support end-to-end testing activities. • Prepare post-test summaries and process improvement documentation. • Coordinate across teams and management levels to ensure resiliency strategies are followed. • Monitor and manage production runs and job setups for mainframe and distributed systems. • Identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues to minimize disruption. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel). • Experience in IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and execution. • Moderate understanding of IT systems including Databases, Middleware, Networking, WebSphere. • Ability to manage small to medium-sized projects. • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA. Preferred Skills • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams. • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving ability. • Ability to independently support IT application failover/recovery tests within 90 days. • Excellent written communication for reporting and documentation. • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (a plus). Soft Skills • Strong verbal and presentation skills. • Acute attention to detail and documentation accuracy. • Organizational and focus-driven approach. • Leadership and ability to run meetings. • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit. 30-60-90 Day Plan • 30 Days: Learn internal processes, tools, and team dynamics. • 60 Days: Shadow testing coordination activities and begin supporting DR efforts. • 90 Days: Independently support IT application failover and recovery testing events.
