A well-established Houston-based MSP is looking for a Senior Systems Administrator (L3) to join its high-performing technical team. This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, leading infrastructure projects, and owning solutions from design to deployment. You’ll work directly with SMB clients to implement modern Microsoft and virtualization technologies in environments that are secure, scalable, and built for growth. This is not just a ticket-churner position — you'll be a key contributor in shaping IT outcomes, improving systems, and mentoring junior engineers. Plus, with partial WFH, profit sharing, and hands-on projects, it’s the perfect mix of autonomy, stability, and challenge. What You’ll Do • Own and execute client-facing infrastructure projects: cloud migrations, server builds, firewall deployments • Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure environments • Manage and troubleshoot VMware or Hyper-V virtualization stacks • Support network and firewall configurations (e.g., SonicWall) • Lead escalations from L1/L2 engineers and act as technical mentor • Build trusted relationships with clients and provide consultative technical direction Required Experience • 5+ years of hands-on IT experience, with recent MSP exposure • Deep knowledge of Windows Server (2012–2022), Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, and Azure • Strong experience with VMware or Hyper-V platforms • Firewall/networking configuration and troubleshooting know-how • Excellent client communication skills and a consultative mindset Salary & Benefits: • $100k - $115k (DOE) • Hybrid Work: 1 day WFH each week • 401(k) with employer match • Quarterly Profit Sharing • Medical, Dental, Vision (employee coverage) • Cert reimbursement + access to instructor-led training • PTO + paid holidays
