Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a skilled Cloud Infrastructure & Azure Operations Engineer to lead the migration of our on-premises VMware infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and to maintain and optimize the Azure environment post-migration. This includes managing virtual infrastructure, cost optimization, and Azure SQL resources. SQL server infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and execute the migration of on-prem VMware workloads to Azure using best practices and tools such as Azure Migrate. • Deploy and maintain Azure infrastructure components including Virtual Machines, storage, networking, and Azure SQL instances. • Set up, configure, and manage Azure SQL databases, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and backup/restore procedures. • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs using Azure Cost Management, Azure Advisor, and other tools. • Implement automation and monitoring solutions for infrastructure health, performance, and availability. • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and improvements for the Azure environment. • Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth operation and integration. • Stay current on Azure services, features, and best practices to continuously improve the environment. Qualifications: • Hands-on experience migrating VMware workloads to Azure using Azure Migrate or similar tools. • Solid experience with Azure IaaS (Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage) and Azure SQL (PaaS and/or Managed Instance). • Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and RBAC. • Strong cost awareness and experience managing cloud budgets and forecasts. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform) is a plus. • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Strong documentation and communication abilities. Benefits: The annualized salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $115,000.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers bonuses, and a full benefits package.
